About The Undead Trilogy
In 2009 it was suggested to me by some friends from The Library of the Dead that I should go to Horror Realm in my old stomping grounds of Pittsburgh, PA. Since I only live in Columbus, OH it just made sense to go and more importantly I was able to talk my wonderful wife into going with me. It was a trip to buy books and get books signed. David Dunwoody (‘Empire’), Jonathan Maberry (‘Patient Zero’), and the esteemed Dr. Pus from the Library were there along with other ‘Librarians’ and the gang from Permuted Press. It was a magical weekend in more ways than one.
Prior to leaving for PA, I already had some work done (approx. 20000 words) on a different novel. However upon returning home I realized that it wasn’t time for that story but something new. Something completely different. What came from that realization was the Trilogy of the Undead. What it is about this story that is so different from the other, I can’t tell you but what I can say is that I love it. I am truly enamored with my own story and that somewhat strange and troubling, but also very comforting.
